On January 20th, 2026, in St. Augustine, the Trinidad & Tobago Police Service (TTPS) executed Joshua Samaroo. CCTV footage laid bare the horrific reality: Joshua was in his car, crashing, attempting to surrender with his hands held high out of the window. There was no shootout. There was no exchange of gunfire. There was only a hail of 19 state bullets targeting a civilian who was attempting to submit to authority.
His partner, Kaia Sealy, survived the onslaught but was left with life-altering, paralyzing injuries. What was her reward for surviving the state's bullets? The corrupt high-ranking structure of the TTPS slapped her with warrants for manslaughter! They are blaming this paralyzed woman for the death of her own common-law husband, who was riddled with police bullets.
The Institutional Cover-Up
Why would they execute a young working man and try to bury his paralyzed widow under a mountain of prison sentences? The word on the ground is clear: a high-ranking police commander used the tactical division to resolve a personal romantic vendetta. They used the weapons paid for by our taxes to carry out a hit!
When the family started asking questions, they didn't get answers—they got death threats. TTPS elements called Joshua's family directly, declaring: "We will kill the whole family and Kaia if you don't stay quiet." They raided the family's homes. They tampered with evidence. They did everything they could to ensure the truth remained buried.
We Demand Justice, Not Scapegoats!
We will not allow them to gaslight Trinidad and Tobago. We will not allow them to lock up Kaia Sealy in Golden Grove to keep her quiet. The blood of Joshua Samaroo is on the hands of the trigger-happy officers and the high-ranking commander who ordered this execution.
