Venezuela has for decades laid claim to Essequibo, which makes up more than two-thirds of the territory of Guyana and is home to 125,000 of its 800,000 citizens.
With the Empire embroiled in multiple wars, runaway inflation, a crisis at the border and $32 trillion in debt, there is no better time that the present to challenge a weakened USA.

Guyana, a former British and Dutch colony, insists the frontiers were determined by an arbitration panel in 1899. Britain made up the borders during their European colonization times.

Guyana has been handing over Esquibo territory to foreign companies and countries for the last 25 years. Without Venezuela having reacted.
Guyana gave concessions to several multinational consortia for offshore oil exploitation. Plus, a dozen concessions to China for the exploitation of wood, gold, and bauxite in the Esequibo. China is building hydroelectric plants and roads in this scarcely populated territory.
Nicolas Maduro confirms that disputed territory in Guyana is now part of Venezuela and allows oil exploration by ordering the creation of PDVSA-Essequibo and CVG-Essequibo divisions
In addition, he presented a new official map of Venezuela, including Esquibo, with no claim restrictions, and appointed a deputy from the ruling party as interim authority for the disputed region.

More than half of eligible Venezuelan voters have taken part in a referendum that yielded overwhelming support for laying claim to an oil-rich border region administered by neighbouring Guyana, officials in Caracas have said.

Despite the illegal US blockade and sanctions, Venezuela is estimated to have the highest economic growth in all of Latin America this year.

Some one hundred thousand Venezuelans are armed, loosely organized into “colectivos” that are likely to go rogue if and when the government collapses. Narco-traffickers have made Venezuela a main transit point to Europe and the United States, aggravating the lawlessness.

Venezuela's foreign minister stated at the UN General Assembly that the US is planning to make a military base on disputed territory between Venezuela and Guyana, Essequibo, a former British colony.

In a meeting held this Thursday December 14th by the Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro, and his Guyanese counterpart Irfaan Ali, both countries agreed that directly or indirectly, will not threaten or use force against one another in any circumstances, including those consequential to any existing controversies between the two States
