Tears for Akiel

The two scales of Justice represent malum prohibitum or 'wrong because prohibited' and malum in se, 'evil in itself.'

Of all the questions that haunts me about this disgusting event, the one that I cant process is this:

Where did they leave the body?

Overnight I mean, between what occurred at the party and the placing in the pool?

It is likely if not obvious that a conspiracy occurred between facilitator, killer and hostess to cover up the deed, and this asks even more questions to the rational mind, chief among these being why?

What was in it for the others?

We know from the inquest that the eleven year old boy was being sexually molested by at least one adult that he knew well, over time for quite some time; that he was sexually assaulted at the home of a friend, at a party, where he was murdered and his body placed in a swimming pool to appear as an accidental drowning.

It is fair to speculate that perhaps something like a 'relationship' developed overtime, the boy being treated to gifts and more felt like he belonged to someone and may have become accustomed to the sick demands in exchange for the attention.

Now culled and complicit, did sick pervert number one inform sick pervert two and others of his conquest, his new property?

And at the party, was he 'shared?'

Did one sick bastard think it okay to facilitate the needs of another of his kind?

Is this the world they inhabited and the status quo among pedophiles?

Even though he may have allowed himself to become the 'willing' partner of one, it did not necessarily make him the willing partner of others, and here is where the tragic event seems to unfold and where these questions find their genesis.

Innocently taken inside for a swimsuit, was he placed in a position where he could be raped?

And once defiled against his will, did his cries demand his silencing?

Even if, by stretch of imagination his death was not intentional, who did the final act, the smothering that ended his life?

And after he was dead, who was told, who conspired to make a lie of this little boy's rape and murder?

This is an indelible stain on our social conscience and will not be expunged without justice. We are morally bound to ask these questions until we get answers and until all the guilty parties pay for their crime. We must never stop, no matter how deep the conspiracy to keep this evil act silent, not until we get justice so that Akiel can rest in peace.

This depraved and disgusting event seems to be the very definition of evil in itself.
