"CHINA UNVEILS SUPER DRONE SHIP" The Chinese Navy's Type 076 is a massive, new-generation amphibious assault ship, with the first vessel Sichuan displacing over 40,000 tons, featuring a dual-island design, a full-length flight deck, and innovative electromagnetic catapults for launching fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters and drones. The electromagnetic catapult enables assisted takeoff and arrested recovery operations for fixed-wing aircraft primarily unmanned combat aerial vehicles and drones, such as the stealthy GJ-11 Sharp Sword, WZ-7 reconnaissance drone and potentially others like the GJ-21.
