The TTPS announced yesterday that investigators, acting on the advice of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, had obtained warrants for the arrest of Sealy, of Bamboo Settlement No. 1, Valsayn.
According to police, Sealy is wanted for three counts of shooting with intent to cause grievous bodily harm against police officers, contrary to Section 12 of the Offences Against the Person Act.The alleged offences stem from the January 20 incident at the corner of College Road and Bassie Street Extension, St Augustine.
Police also disclosed that a warrant had been issued for manslaughter, alleging that Sealy unlawfully caused the death of her common-law husband, Joshua Samaroo, in addition to several other related offences.
Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro revealed during a media briefing that Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard had advised investigators to proceed with criminal charges arising from the events of January 20
